Job Duties:

  • Responsible for mechanical and industrial design and development of system level products in health care applications including medical imaging, instrumentation and sensors.
  • Matching product requirements from the business units and customers with the capabilities within the EMS supply chain; components, assembly methods and logistics.
  • Project management of the mechanical system development through design, PCB layout/simulation, process/materials development, and assembly of prototype, qualification and production deliverables.
  • Work with Quality and Reliability groups through qualification and certifications.
  • Product engineer support of issues from the field.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Industrial Design with five years of experience.
  • Experience in product development working with EMS partners and the electronics supply chain.
  • Preferred familiarity with product development and agency certifications using enhanced QMS systems for medical products.
  • Interacting with domestic and offshore suppliers, required travel time of <10%.
  • Ability to use 3D design software tools like Solid Works. Thermal or mechanical simulation capability is a plus.

Good communication skills and success in a team environment.
