Summary
Anaconda is seeking a talented Engineering Manager to join our rapidly-growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of application development and coding to a much wider audience.
What You’ll do:
- Manage and support daily engineering operations and activities for the Anaconda SocialHub team – ensuring that critical deliverables are tracked and managed
- Support the cross-functional individuals on the team in their career development
- Ensure that the team is using a good rationale for its’ technical decision-making
- Provide vision, guidance, and context for team planning and discussions
- Hire new team members to support the product growth and contribute to planning for future team needs
- Be a strong advocate and driver for the agile and validated learning processes at Anaconda
- Work with Product Management, Engineering leadership, Developer and Community Advocates, and other key stakeholders to help manage engineering roadmaps, short-term and long term release plans, and delivery schedules to meet company and product goals.
- Coordinate deliverables, dependencies, and schedules as needed with peers across the Anaconda technology and product organizations
- Help establish and measure key performance indicators to manage operational metrics and improve the performance of the engineering team.
- Leverage your entrepreneurial skills to launch a new product, not be afraid to help the team in whatever way is needed, and not wait for someone else to solve the problem if you can fix it.

- 8 years of experience with software development, 3 years of experience managing teams
- Strong practical experience with agile software development, including modern development practices, such as pair programming, TDD, and CI/CD
- Experience creating and delivering B2C community products built on public cloud infrastructure as an individual contributor and engineering manager
- Strong understanding of validated learning concepts
- Experience in working with Product Management to map product roadmaps to engineering schedules
- Experience with summarizing and presenting key information and proven ability to influence and drive decisions at the executive level
- Able to motivate and inspire engineering teams to create and support a culture of excellence and pride of ownership
- Experience working in a high-growth, start-up environment
- A customer service mindset and great attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams and departments – identifying any hurdles to progress and improving internal and cross-functional communications and processes
- BS in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience
