QUICK DETAILS - SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST AT FARMBROOK LANE:
Hourly Rate: $17-23/hour based on experience and skillset. We are willing to train for someone that brings the basic skills to the table.
Hours: 1st shift, Monday - Friday approx. 7 am to 3:30 pm; flexible based on candidate.

The AMZ Farmbrook facility is a multi-faceted assembly operation. It is a part of the AMZ Manufacturing Corp.’s business that also includes industrial coating plants on Pennsylvania Avenue and Boxwood Ln in York PA. AMZ serves a diverse group of industries including defense, aerospace, agriculture, medical, transportation, and many others. AMZ’s credo is built around our responsibility to the end customer, the employees, the community, and the key stakeholders of the business.
The mission of the AMZ Farmbrook Team is to ensure that the customer’s orders are delivered when they want them, where they want them and how they want them in a safe and cost-effective manner. To help accomplish this mission, the Farmbrook team is looking for an ambitious individual comfortable with performing cross functions in production and logistics. The Supply Chain Specialist will manage one of our key programs and will also provide support in the logistics department when needed. The key job duties and responsibilities are listed below.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to customer RFQs and ensure proper communication is complete for RFQs
- Perform purchasing for components used in the assembly process
- Communicate directly with vendors regarding price, quality requirements, lead times and schedules
- Read and interpret drawings and understand specification/quality requirements
- Create and execute a schedule for the program, including expediting items when necessary
- Create POs and other necessary paperwork
- Understand the production schedule and be able to properly pull items for production work orders
- Ability to operate a forklift and perform other material handling as needed
- Maintain traceability of parts and manage material appropriately in the ERP system
- Support the logistics department in various areas as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Background
- Possess the ability to work independently and as a team
- Bring a positive, problem-solving attitude to the workplace
- Able to switch task and maintain priorities
- Experience in driving a sit-down forklift is required
- Competent in data entry with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet Explorer
Skills
- Attendance – On time and at work on all scheduled work days
- Ability to speak, read and write English language
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted
- Standing, stooping, bending, and reaching overhead
- Must be able to pick up quickly on learning objectives and retain information
- Valid PA driver’s license
