Job Description

The Process Development team is seeking a Scientist 3 with significant experience developing and optimizing early-stage and late-stage microbial fermentation processes for the production of small molecules. We are specifically seeking an energetic, creative, and highly self-motivated individual that enjoys challenges in fermentation development.    This individual will report to the Director, Strain Performance Optimization.   This individual should be an expert in fermentation science and process control and have a strong understanding of microbial physiology and biosynthetic pathways. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of optimization of strain performance and the development of the fermentation process for a given molecule in terms of strategies used, prioritization, and scale-up. We expect this individual to also lead projects and be accountable for their success while communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
