Amylyx is Hiring a Head, HR Business Partner Near Cambridge, MA

POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of Amylyx’s HR Team, the Head, HR Business Partner will execute talent management strategies and programs to support a growing, dynamic learning culture, strategies for employee growth and development aligned with our non-hierarchical organization structure.

As a strategic consultative partner with a roll-up-your-sleeves approach, you will focus on partnering with areas of the business to drive the business strategy, utilizing talent insights to drive business outcomes as we address global, regional, and local needs in an enterprise-wide, scalable manner. Working collaboratively across the organization, you will partner with HR colleagues and the business to define talent gaps, propose, and deliver solutions that drive the continued improvement of managerial practices in such areas as employee communications, employee development and performance management. You will also participate in company-wide initiatives that drive engagement, and support individual and team performance while strengthening our culture and community. As Amylyx expands globally, you will collaborate with HR colleagues to develop strategies and share best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the creation and execution of forward-thinking strategies, talent practices and deliver plans based on HR expertise, and an in-depth understanding of the business, while remaining focused on building a culture company.
  • Partner with Head, Talent and HR Business Partneringand HR Leaders to identify, communicate and deliver proactive strategies and programs that retain and engage employees
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team to develop the workforce planning process and provide insights.
  • Leverage the company’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative, focusing on continued building and fostering of an inclusive environment.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to and maintain the pulse of the entire employee population, advising on opportunities/risks to employee engagement, potential performance level impacts, and employee relations issues
  • Partner with Head, Talent and HR Business Partnering and Head, Learning and Organization Development to drive alignment with total rewards and organization development requirements.
  • Continue to evolve Amylyx’s performance management initiative, ensuring continuous feedback and learning, and optimal performance of all employees. Provide ongoing direct and actionable performance coaching and feedback to the organization’s leaders.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 15 years broad and progressive HR experience, with a blend of business partnering and talent management including employee growth and development, employee engagement and performance management in a transformational environment is required.
  • Experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical and/or other technology industry supporting high growth organizations is desired. Global experience a plus.
  • Champions and models company culture and values, while embracing regional and cultural differences in working style. Leads with openness and curiosity, fostering inclusion across work and partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, deal with ambiguity, and comfortable operating in an evolving matrix environment is required.
  • Ability to build long-term, trusted relationships with colleagues across the organization; bringing a strong collaborate style is required.
  • Proven track record of forging positive consultative relationships with all levels
  • Ability to think strategically while operating in a hands-on approach is required. Familiar with approaches needed to get things done in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
