$21-$21.50 per hour

Job Summary: 
The Laborer performs a variety of tasks. These tasks may include assisting with extra workload, covering absences and vacations, and supplementing crews to meet changes in the production area. Primary role will be assisting the Coating Lead, using ovens to bake out and strip racks, sandblasting, and trimming. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist Coating Lead
• Cleans and lubricates equipment, maintains a clean work area, and readies or puts away tools as assigned.
• Follow directions of Coating Lead
• Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee.
• Any other tasks needed in support of rack production such as drilling, grinding, taping, milling, etc…

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a variety of roles.

Education and Experience: 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Familiararity with Ovens, sandblaster, torches, drills and drill presses, saws and band saws, wrenched, hammers, punches, benders and other power tools is a plus, however Job training for this position is provided by Coating Lead.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Exposure to hot ovens, temps 100F for short periods.
• Close hand work
• Must be able to lift, pull or push, up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
• Must be able to tolerate exposure to typical manufacturing noises and smells associated with the plant.
