Compliance Specialist $50,000 to $54,000 annually

We are looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our team and ensure that our organization is in compliance with all regulations, laws, and policies. The primary focus will be on sales and use tax and business registration.

Compliance Specialist responsibilities include evaluating compliance activities and acting as a liaison between the organization and various government agencies.

Ultimately, you will work with different departments within our organization to ensure we meet all policies and laws that are required. Your primary focus will be sales and use tax and your primary contacts will be with our finance department and executive management.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Track and respond to requests
• Maintain records of compliance activities
• Communicate with government agencies
• Prepare and file compliance reports
• Maintain and update and internal nexus study

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven work experience as a Compliance Specialist or similar role
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with various levels of stakeholders.
• Documenting and reporting skills
• Relevant training and/or certifications as a Compliance Specialist
• Degree in Business, Paralegal studies or related, preferred.
