AMS Ameren Services is Hiring a Contract Specialist Near St. Louis, MO

If end date is listed, the posting will come down at 12:00 am on that date: Contract Specialist (ZA0930) About The Position The Contract Specialist is a Sourcing position that works with stakeholders and Business Segments within Ameren to facilitate the development and use of contracts that involve the purchase of goods and services. Key responsibilities include: • Ensure requests for new Contracts, Amendments, Assignments, and Terminations are accurate and complete. • Manage all internal Stakeholder communications regarding lifecycle of Contracts, Amendments, and Assignments. Escalate delays and negotiation challenges, risks and roadblocks to management. • Manage communications with Counterparty related to redlines (as needed) for Contracts, Amendments, Assignments. • Lead internal Stakeholder redlining process and coordinate redlines/negotiations with Counterparty. • Ensure all necessary internal Stakeholder approvals are obtained. • Ensure compliance with all applicable Supplier Policies and Risk Compliance by each Counterparty as part of the contracting process utilizing a consistent checklist to be developed by Sourcing and Supply Chain. • Ensure activities are properly documented in the CLM system. • Provide training related to the CLM system and the Contract Specialist role. • Follow all policies, procedures and processes within Ameren applicable to the purchase of goods and services. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required; preferably in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Digital, Law, Business Administration or other related field. MBA, other related graduate degree, or Doctorate preferred. Five or more years of directly relevant work experience in contracting, strategic sourcing, purchasing, consulting, cost accounting, engineering, legal, or finance is required. Candidates with an advanced degree or Doctorate will be considered with three or more years of experience. Technical career path level and salary depends upon applicant’s credentials. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Experience working with and managing contracts required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management required. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently required. Solid verbal and written communication skills preferred.
