Located on 7.5 acres oceanfront, Amrit unites the ancient inner-science of the East and Western technology for personalized luxury that promotes mindful living with unlimited potential. Utilizing the time-honored practice of Eight Limbs of Patanjali with Five Pillars of Wellness (Mindfulness, Nutrition, Fitness, Relaxation and Sleep), Amrit's 24/7 Personal Wellness Advisors work with guests to identify their Personalized Roadmap to Wellness. Amrit's two towers, Peace and Happiness comprise 182 wellness residents, 153 wellness resort suites including 30 destination spa suites, chlorine free pools, natural bistro with teaching kitchen, farm to table restaurant, meeting/celebration space, hair-health full service salon, outdoor activities/experiences and 100,000 sf of wellness and spa spread over four floors indoors and out. Overview

Manages and coordinates development and production activities of information technology systems of Amrit Resorts by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for ensuring all technology systems at Amrit Ocean Resort and Residences are installed and working properly.

Analyzes the ongoing needs of Amrit Ocean Resort and Residences and establishes priorities for, systems design and implementation to develop new and/or modify Amrit’s technology infrastructure.

Takes responsibility and initiative to develop core skills and competencies by being involved in every facet of personal development

Recommends and develops solution-oriented plans for Amrit’s systems design, development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and technical staffing.

Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information systems for the Amrit Resort Property. This includes Servers and all terminal connections, low voltage lighting programing and functionality, external and internal bandwidth/carrier services, all public space music systems programming and functionality.

Ensures data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.

Negotiates maintenance contracts with consultants and vendors for technical services and products.

Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of resort software and hardware.

Communicates effectively with internal teams, guests, and other departments as required

Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and address problems.

Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages subordinates in the Amrit Information Technology Department. Is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Amrit policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Knowledge of:

  • Management and Leadership Concepts
  • PC Setup and Troubleshooting
  • Computer Systems and Networking Technology
  • LAN and WAN Infrastructure and Information Systems Mapping
  • Hotel Systems Interface
  • Broadband and Wi-Fi Technologies
  • Basic Knowledge of Payment Card Technology
  • Basic Knowledge of Sound Systems
  • Troubleshooting of peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Ability to:

Develop and maintain working relationships with co-workers and managers across departments, be open and responsive to coaching, lead and develop people, manage schedules and timelines.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 3 years of hospitality IT experience is highly preferred
  • Open weekday availability and ability to work weekends when necessary
  • Experience in dealing with multiple hotel associates, corporate associates, IT vendors/partnerships, as well as ownership
  • Proficient in task/project management, including project management tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver's license or other Government issued ID.
