The industry has a wide variety of disparate systems that rely on outdated integration requirements. WareHQ Labs is designed to address these issues; therefore, our clients hire us to increase the scalability of their operations. Our first product to solve this problem is briefli.

The Role

We are looking for a Product Designer to support and evolve our recently launched Software as a Service (SaaS) product named briefli. This position will be responsible for designing new software features and user research. This is an opportunity to join a small, enthusiastic, and growing Product team within the larger organization. We are looking for a team member to own the design system and to have a heavy influence in regards to how the customer interacts with briefli.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the products we will be launching and coordinate with the product team to launch products that will be marketed to the transportation & logistics industries.

  • Operate and participate within the Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS).

  • Produce high fidelity design mockups and prototypes in tools such as Figma.

  • Contribute to the evolution and health of our internal design systems and pattern libraries.

  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate functions and user experience.

  • Perform in person, on-site customer research as needed:

  • Conduct and synthesize UX research and craft user surveys.

  • Run usability testing sessions.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to draw the roadmap for the future of our company.

  • Bring clarity to the software designs using collaboration tools such as Figma, Lucid, JIRA, and Confluence.

  • Utilize data analytics from internal reporting dashboards to understand how users interact with the product.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Your core values are aligned with WareHQ Labs.

  • Experience with transforming business requirements to designs and mockups.

  • Exceptionally strong discovery skills and communication skills.

  • Proven experience with rapid, iterative research, design and development processes.

  • Experience working with software development teams or Warehousing & Logistics industry is a plus.

  • You relentlessly advocate for customers and deeply care about solving customer problems.

  • You understand how to shape and design products that delight and excite users.

  • The ability to articulate and champion your Design choices.

  • A strong attention to detail in all aspects of your work.

  • 3 years of experience, preferably working with development teams.

  • This role is located in the Kansas City metro area and will sit in our North Oak office.

  • Willingness to travel to our Springfield office or partners as needed.
