Our new Lebanon location features a large taproom, dining room, patio, private party room and has a casual, fun vibe! The menu offers a variety of wood-fired items including appetizers and wood-fired pizzas, as well as sandwiches, entrées, signature salads and house desserts, all featuring Italian-American flavors. We are a craft restaurant, making all of our dough and sauces in house and sourcing the best local ingredients.

POSITION SUMMARY

Catch-a-Fire Pizza is now hiring a full-time prep cook for our new location in downtown Lebanon, Ohio. We are seeking a passionate culinary professional who is responsible for ensuring that our BOH team has a solid foundation with which to create our creative, artisan menu items.. Part time hours are also available. This position will require working mornings and weekends. 

$15 - $20 / hour

Qualifications

  • 2 years Prep Experience
  • Excellent knife skills 
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (or must be completed within the first 90 days of employment)

  • Ability to work with professionalism with all team members and guests at all times
  • Adept in following directions & adhering to recipes with quality and consistency
  • Must be able to thrive and excel in a fast-paced environment and consistently uphold very high standard
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude at all times and demonstrate teamwork
  • Attention to detail, ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Be a Brand Ambassador! Promote Catch-a-Fire’s goals and company culture; follow company policies & procedures 
  • Managing our general prep department demands and working with our BOH team
  • Working with Management and BOH team to ensure proper stocking of necessary items
  • Receiving, checking in and properly storing incoming orders while following proper food rotation guidelines
  • Creating/following a prep list and completing all task items accurately and in a timely manner 
  • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
  • Properly cook and handle various food items (including meat, seafood, dairy and vegetables) using a variety of cooking methods
  • Exceptional knowledge of our menu
  • Following proper food safety procedures
  • Clean dishes, wash cooking utensils and cookware as needed
  • Taking out trash/recycling/compost as needed
  • Effectively open and close the prep areas of the operation
  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary workspace at all times
  • Focus on quality control and efficiencies so the prep department can operate efficiently and successfully

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch
  • Ability to frequently talk, hear, taste and smell
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Able to carry trays and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and able to stand for 8 consecutive hours.
