POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for the design and development of RF Coaxial connectors.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks.
  • Work is routine and instructions are usually detailed.
  • Little evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.
  • Utilize 3D CAD (Pro-E/CREO) model and draft connector components and assemblies.
  • Perform tolerance studies.
  • Apply RF design concepts to design high performance transmission lines.
  • Work with the RF Engineer to validate and optimize RF performance.
  • Analyze or facilitate the analysis of mechanical requirements using FEA as required.
  • Process Engineering Change Orders and New Product Releases.
  • Perform and document electrical and mechanical testing of prototypes.
  • Maintain organized project files.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments as part of a cross-functional team to move the product design through a phased development process
  • Ability to travel when necessary
  • Any other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with Three (3) to five (5) years related experience. Other requirements as necessary.
