POSITION OVERVIEW

Program, edit and set up any job within capacity of CNC machines on 1st and subsequent operations, including the fitting of all attachments.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will be responsible to make full layouts and keep records of same to optimize quickest quality runs on machine including selecting tooling, speeds and feeds.
  • Responsibilities will include tool room and model shop activities.
  • Will maintain machines as far as checking and changing lubricant in pre-determined intervals; adjustment of clutches, gibs, etc., must be maintained in proper working order.
  • Will provide training to s/u and operators.
  • Final layouts will be subject to approval of Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Other related duties as required. Must be willing to set up and operate other machines in the model shop as required.
  • Will be expected to provide training and receive training as required.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Strong math background. Good communication skills. Tool grinding experience, a plus.
