Ampco Pumps Co Inc is Hiring a Customer Service Manager Near Glendale, WI

Ampco Pumps is a fast-growing manufacturer of centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps and mixing & blending equipment used in the food and dairy industries, desalination, and various chemical and industrial applications. The Customer Service Manager is a self-motivated individual whose primary responsibility is providing outstanding customer service by leading, motivating, and developing their team to increase customer satisfaction.This position reports to the Vice President. **COVID-19 vaccination is required as a condition of employment.**

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments and directly supervise the customer service staff to ensure the best possible customer service.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and professional work environment.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints whenever staff cannot handle them.
  • Communicate and maintain good rapport with colleagues, staff, and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Keep Operations and Upper Management informed of progress, issues, problems, and successes.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, delegation and assignment of work, performance appraisals, employee rewards and discipline, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Provide guidance to customers to ensure orders are placed accurately with Ampco’s customer service department.
  • Participate in cross functional teams to address and resolve customer problems.
  • Ensure the completion and maintenance of all required paperwork, documentation, files, records, etc.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain customer service standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods to maintain and improve the quality of customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience working in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in ERP and CRM programs preferred.
  • Perform with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
  • 3-5 years in a Customer Service supervisory role required.
