Ameristar Casino Resort Spa offers Team Members:

Now hiring candidates 18 or older for all positions, including gaming licensed positions (excluding Beverage Server, Barback, Bartender)

  • $1,500 Retention bonus offered for all newly hired hourly positions – Receive $250 on your first check! Additional $250 paid after 6 months, $1000 paid after one year (based on completion of pay period anniversary date)

Responsibilities include: 

  • Greet all visitors to the HR office and assist with team member questions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of front reception area and computer lab. 
  • Participate in special projects as assigned. 
  • Answer phones and direct calls appropriately.
  • Receive mail and distribute. 
  • Prepare and assist with New Hire Orientation. This includes creating NHO folders, nametags and badges, room set up, facilitating NHO sections, etc.
  • Conducts all employment verifications.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to applicants, team members, and leadership as needed. Including, but not limited to, systems such as UltiPro, ICIMS, and SuccessFactors.
  • Assist team members with questions, ensuring that customer service standards are maintained and that all related policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Enter team member paperwork into electronic filing system, (PsiSafe). 
  • Create and modify reports as needed; executes software download to the I.D. badge system to update team member records; generate periodic reports, such as transfer and termination reports as required, daily, weekly, or monthly. 
  • Maintain a strict level of confidentiality in all matters of a sensitive nature regarding team members or disciplinary actions, appraisals, salary information, and all team member records. 
  • Monitor supplies and equipment, review inventory, and place purchasing requisitions in order to maintain levels of inventory which best meets user and department budget requirements; attends to all office equipment maintenance.
  • Enter TIPS card details, certifications, gaming licenses information into UltiPro and PsiSafe. 
  • Fulfill other duties as directed and/or assigned.

  • Six to twelve months work experience in a related field/capacity.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes and/or statutes. 
  • Ability to research, analyze, comprehend, and act upon information as appropriate.
  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. 
  • Intermediate skills in all Microsoft Office programs. 
  • Bilingual communication is a plus.
