Responsibilities
Primary Responsibility:The IT Project Manager will be an individual contributor reporting to the Director of IT PMO while implementing Americold and industry best practices of Project Management under a collaborative fast-paced environment.The role of the IT Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects of the Supply Chain & Application Deployment Projects according to scheduled deadlines and within budget while meeting or exceeding projected business benefitsEssential Functions:• Leads and collaborates with others to collect and report project status, develop status reports and communicate status, risks, issues, etc. to customers, management and other stakeholders • Experienced in working in a both waterfall and Agile processes and collaborating with teams in a globally distributed engagement model • Acts as the point of contact for other project managers / delivery leads on the Program – Internal and External and leads daily track and team meetings • Builds presentations ranging from daily standup decks to steering and operating committee material • Manages all critical project aspects (scope, timeline, budget, resources, etc.) and ensures that project goals are accomplished and in line with program and business objectives and escalates issues, risks to Program leadership in a timely manner • Responsible for creating and tracking an integrated plan of all major project tracks (Supply Chain, EDI, Middleware, Infrastrture, Security, Hosting, QA , Analytics, etc.) activities, ensuring the completeness, dependencies and integrity of those activities and the timeliness of their delivery• Develops project plans, including goals, strategy/approach, schedule, risks, contingency plans, resource allocation as needed• Manages the change management process including changes to scope/requirements/design and communication to teams and stakeholders? Owns tracking the financial health of the project and works closely with financial analyst, project teams for scoping & executing financial adjustments, tracking project financials • Leverage Americold’s Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tools to deliver solutions for business decision making, and consider people, process, and technologies while adhering to Americold’s methodology and PMO processes
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:? Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or related field or equivalent ? 5 years of project management experience preferably in Supply chain/Logistics ? Smartsheet or similar PPM experience highly preferred? Demonstrated advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint? Experience with industry standard BI and reporting engines (e.g., Power BI) preferred? PMP, Agile certifications preferredKnowledge & Employment Standards:? Able to prioritize and organize increasingly complex work to ensure overall timeliness and quality standards ? Exhibits problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting issues and escalates as appropriate.? Ability to engage and consult with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.? Capability to manipulate, visualize and present data in an understandable way? Ability to communicate professionally, both written and verbally with individuals at all levels of the organization, external contacts, customers, and potential customers?
