JOB DESCRIPTION:
The DON develops department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines. The DON functions in an advisory capacity to administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care. This position directs the implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice that promotes optimum health care delivery. This position will oversee the activities of infection control and staff education.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Masters level or incumbent to Master’s prepared required.
Credentials: Licensure by the Arizona Board of Registered Nursing required.
Experience: Experience as a Registered Nurse in a substance abuse, co-occurring and residential treatment patients’/clients setting required;
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in nursing management role required.
