Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Therapist provides services to adult clients in substance abuse treatment. Therapists will provide therapy services (individual, group, and family). The Therapist functions as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatric providers, nurses, behavioral health techs, and specialty providers.
ARC-Arizona is a program that provides comprehensive substance abuse services to adults in voluntary treatment. Programs on campus include intake, medical detox, residential, sober living, CD IOP, and CD PHP. Therapists are assigned to one primary program but are available to cross cover in other programs as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
§ Active Arizona license in social work, substance abuse, counseling or marriage and family therapy, or an associate in counseling or social worker able to work under direct supervision.
§ Level 1 Fingerprint clearance, Healthcare Provider CPR Certification, Handle with Care within 90 days of hire
§ TB Screening
Preferred Qualifications:
§ Experience with primary treatment of substance abuse
§ Experience in residential treatment settings
§ Certification in EMDR, Somatic Experience, Trauma-Informed Treatment, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
§ Ability to facilitate psycho-educational groups.
§ Ability to facilitate large group experiences.
§ Ability to provide individual support for a wide range of diagnoses and behaviors.
§ Ability to provide didactic lectures.
§ Non-violent crisis management (will train if needed)
§ Multi-cultural sensitivity
§ Excellent time management skills
