American Reading Company is Hiring a Desktop Support Technician Near Philadelphia, PA

Requirements

We manage, customize, and support our business systems in-house. If you have the skillset for this unique opportunity, you’ll be able to work with an amazing team of system administrators and developers. 

Our ideal candidate has a natural flair for customer service and a passion for technology. We are looking for a people person who wants to grow their career in information technology. If you are a quick learner who enjoys tinkering with technology in your off-hours, this may be the job for you.

Requirements 

  • Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and Booster.
  • You are energized by helping and getting to know new people.
  • You have a year or more of experience in IT helpdesk or desktop support. 
  • You are proficient in troubleshooting Windows 10 in a networked environment, various desktop applications, Microsoft’s suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others as needed. 
  • You are proactive, eager to learn, and reliable. 
  • You don’t mind training a group on something you learned yesterday. 
  • You have a desire to learn about business software, databases, programming, and business process development. 
  • A degree is not required, but you should be able to demonstrate background knowledge in information technology. 
  • Experience with Sage 500 ERP, Salesforce, Qlik, Synchroteam, Logmein Central, Microsoft Intune, and Samanage/Solarwinds Service desk (or similar service management software) is a plus.

Responsibilities 

  • You will support a mix of MAC, PC, iOS, and Android networked endpoints. 
  • You will respond to employee issues via phone, e-mail, and chat. 
  • You will solve a broad range of day-to-day on-site technical issues. 
  • You will maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware and peripherals. 
  • You will train employees on commonly used technical concepts, practices, and procedures. 
  • You will prioritize help tickets properly and communicate updates to users and the support team. 
  • You will follow up with employees to ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager to provide excellent customer service.

Additional Information
