The purpose and function of the Assistant Manager position is to oversee key operational areas within the Parts Distribution Center on various shifts. These areas include inbound and outbound operations and inventory management. This position is also responsible for leading a team of supervisors and associates on a daily basis to run the operation successfully to satisfy customers’ needs.

• Maintaining safety compliance within the operation

• Operate within the financial boundaries of the assigned Parts Center budget
• Overseeing various inbound and outbound operations including receiving, stocking, inventory control, picking and shipping
• Maintaining/improving quality and efficiency of the operation
• Training, developing, and leading supervisors and associates
• Managing various continuous improvement projects

We are looking for qualified people and diverse background and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic, to bring the future to Honda as an Assistant Manager, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work-related experience
• 7 years of experience in distribution, warehousing and/or logistics
• 5 years leadership/supervisory experience
• Proficiency in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Ability to analyze plan effectiveness against stated objectives and produce counter measures when tactics are not achieving desired results.
• Must be flexible to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift
