AMERICAN FOODS GROUP LLC is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Omaha, NE

Overview

Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and layout of various print and digital materials, such as brochures, PowerPoint presentations, ads, social media imagery, and more. This position will collaborate with art directors, cross-disciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients to develop and execute compelling design solutions and engaging ideas rooted in strategy that moves business forward. It’s essential to have excellent attention to detail, be organized, work independently, and be part of a team. While we have brand guidelines that must be adhered to, there is still plenty of opportunities to demonstrate your creativity.

This role will work closely with the Art Director and Marketing Manager on various projects, including digital and print ads and campaigns, email blasts, flyers, website elements, logos, social media posts, PowerPoint templates, tradeshow collateral, posters, companywide communications, and packaging to style guides.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Work within Marketing to create, design and maintain consistent brand visual direction and execution of all marketing and sales collateral as needed to accomplish the organization’s goals
  • Coordinate the design and development of print pieces, including advertising, brochures, sales tools, and corporate communication:
  • Understand the internal client’s vision through active listening, advanced communication and diplomacy with business partners, project owners, managers, and internal team members
  • Produce design assets for the Company’s sales and other departments:
    • Lead project from creative brief through completion
    • Leverage brand guidelines to develop a range of creative initiatives while utilizing various procedures and
    • processes
    • Execute graphic design projects, from concept to delivery
    • Partner with Marketing team on creative collaboration
    • Preflight, collect, upload, and download projects according to internal and vendor guidelines
    • Organize files following our processes and guidelines
    • Proofread artwork at all stages of production
    • Prepare and coordinate production art to ensure all production details are understood and deadlines met
    • Ensure projects’ production quality and readiness are high-quality
    • Coordinate with outside vendors to complete projects and delivery services on time and on budget
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritizing milestones, and influencing clients and design colleagues to deliver desirable solutions within time frame and budget
  • Bring valuable insight to the conceptual development for projects, be able to translate ideas into execution
  • Work closely with the digital and social media team to conceptualize fresh and engaging designs and on-trend content
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and drive customer satisfaction through effective communication, efficient responses, and timely deliverables
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors, print representatives, and campaign managers to ensure collaboration in project activities company initiatives through the execution of the marketing strategy and brand campaign(s) across channels
  • Provide a fresh perspective, add value to projects, and exhibit a sense of ownership in work product

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline
  • Experience working in a fast paced, matrixed agency or in-house team environment to develop a range of creative initiatives
  • Proven ability to articulate ideas and implement advanced creative solutions for multifaceted design projects
  • Experience with and/or in video production, motion graphics, and animation a plus
  • Knowledge in HTML and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience and/or professional portfolio establishing an understanding of typography, layout, design, and branding
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • Advance working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, & Acrobat Aftereffects
  • Proficient in manipulating and refining photography
  • Experience working in a collaborative team atmosphere which included job responsibilities that were also included being an individual contributor with individual projects, deadlines, and accountabilities
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and competing priorities with a high degree of flexibility in a constantly fast-evolving environment
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with all levels of management and external vendors
  • Critical thinking skills including, logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to work independently on multiple deadlines ensuring high quality deliverables while managing shifting responsibilities
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to tailor message to appropriate audience
  • Ability to adapt to modification and changes to project plans and/or marketing plans, demonstrating flexibility to implement new strategies, designs, and/or methodologies to accommodate changes
  • Driven, self-motivated, and always looking for ways to improve current marketing efforts
