Staff Accountant
Overview
Supports the Accounting Department in the completion of cash reconciliations and bank reconciliations. Prepares journal entries, assist in month-end close, assist in preprartion of audit work papers, and performs account analysis. Assists with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cash reconciliations for multiple cash accounts and monthly bank reconciliations
- Assists in the completion of monthly and year end journal entries.
- Perform reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Assist with preparation of audit work papers
- Account analysis
- Assist with monthly financial statement preparation
- Backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required in Accounting
- 0-2 years of experience
- Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus
- Attention to detail; accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to work with sensitive financial information and maintain its confidentiality
