American Addiction Centers is Hiring a Community Relations Representative Near Etta, MS
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize and host community learning events in conjunction with Oxford Treatment Center education committee.
- Develop and coordinate involvement in civic, religious, and government organizations which benefit state and local community
- Work with local Alumni Coordinator or AAC National Alumni Coordinator
- Identify needs in the community to inform the continued growth of services at the Oxford Outpatient Office
- Host and conduct in-service presentations with community stakeholders to raise public awareness of Oxford Treatment Center and its services
- Attend community networking functions
- Represent Oxford Treatment Center on local boards and nonprofits
- Work with Business Development team to assist with events
- Work with designated staff to further relationships with the local recovery community and develop a volunteer committee to inform improvement to OTC alumni events
- Network with mental health providers and community leaders
- Assist in continuous gathering of reviews for OTC and OOP
- Reports problems to appropriate supervisor.
- Regular and consistent attendance is expected
- Other Duties as assigned
- Master’s preferred in mental health, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, or marketing.
- Community Relations marketing or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
- Experience managing and recruiting volunteers (preferred)
- Experience interacting with state and local government, service boards, and community leaders
- Ability to speak publically
- Strong event planning skills
- Highly organized, including the ability to manage multiple ongoing events.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training within 30 days of hire
- CPR within 30 days of hire
- Valid driver license and insurable driving record
- Prolonged sitting at a desk
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
- This position requires local travel and occasional travel within the state.
- Out-of-state travel is minimal but could be required.
- Etta, MS is the home facility of this job however, incumbents may be required to work at facilities other than the home facility.
