Position Overview This is a technical sales position in the SBS (Smart Building Solutions) Florida unit within the Sales & Project Development team in SW Florida. A successful candidate will be expected to provide sales leadership, support and follow-up for developing a wide-range of various project types related to HVAC Building Automation, Information-Communication-Technology (ICT), Low Voltage, Fire Alarm, Bi-Directional Antenna and Energy Efficiency type proposals and bids. Responsibilities: Develop trusting relationships at all levels with our customers and partners maximizing account share with building owner accounts where you are considered as a trusted, collaborative partner; Consistently ascertain and evaluate current market opportunities; Boldly advocate on behalf of our sales team and Company to influence perspective clientele, co-develop value added technical and commercial proposals, to guide customer evaluations and weighting of tradeoffs, and ultimately convince customers on the value of partnering with Ameresco; Convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying the required sales team members, making assignments, and communicating the next steps in the process; Collaborate with Sales Account and Business Unit Leadership Executives, who manage the commercial and business side of the customer relationship while you focus on the technology offerings and proposal development, administration and follow-up via constant contact/touchpoint conversations and emails through the client commitment; Comfortable with negotiating final terms and commitments related to contract award, manage pricing and commercial discussions as secondary to your technical sales role; Assist customers in answering technical questions on Smart Buildings Technologies; Understand competitor's strengths and weaknesses relative to the appropriate technical strategy; Familiarity with existing and new customer engagement and business practices including partner ecosystem, pricing expectations, forecasting of probability and response timelines, Terms and Conditions, competition and current and revised sales strategies; Attend sales strategy and bid pricing meetings and coordinate resources when necessary; Ability to write reports and business correspondence and use in-place systems (Salesforce, CRM, etc). And; Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of four-year degree in an area that will help the candidate accelerate the learning curve for this position (e.g. engineering, architecture, environmental sciences, construction management). Minimum of 8 years “consultative” selling experience is required. Working knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Low Voltage, ICT & Fire Alarm Systems. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is plus but not required. Experience working in the Building Technologies market place a huge plus. Strong communication skills and professionalism via phone, email and through face-to-face meetings with key decision makers. Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize new business development opportunities in order to maximize sales productivity. Digitally savvy with strong proficiency in MS Office programs and using the Internet as a research and sales tool.
