Job Summary

As the IT Systems Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the IT services and systems that support our business operation. We are an importer and distributor. You will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to ensure that the IT systems and infrastructure are reliable, secure, and scalable, and that it aligns with the business goals and strategies. You will also collaborate with external partners and vendors to deliver high-quality managed IT solutions and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Function as a liaison between the company and external IT service providers to ensure that the company's IT needs are met.
• Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues when necessary
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate effectively on IT-related matters.
• Facilitate assistance on support issues and new project initiatives that include external partners and experts that can provide assistance as needed.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance and availability of the IT services and systems and troubleshoot and resolve any issues or incidents.
• Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and security of the IT systems and networks, including Microsoft Business Central, EDI Systems, Consumer websites and other integrated solutions.
• Organize training for new and existing users to insure proper and optimized use of business systems
• Build and maintain knowledge base of documentation and system processing guidance
• Provide guidance and assistance to team members using business systems to solve problems as well as implement new customer initiatives and business processes that allow continuous monitoring and improvements for all system users.
• Manage IT projects and initiatives, and ensure that they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
• Manage the IT budget and allocate resources efficiently and effectively.
• Research and evaluate modern technologies and trends that can improve the business operations, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiencies.
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices that comply with industry standards and regulations.

Required Skills

• At least 10 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the import or B2B retail distribution industry.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Business Central, EDI systems, and e-commerce platforms.
• Proficient in IT systems and network administration, security, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge and experience with EDI transactional processing technologies and major retailer systems and integrations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and constructively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively, and to solve problems effectively.
• Experience working with external IT service providers and vendors.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
• Strong project management skills to oversee IT initiatives and vendor relationships.

Education:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Coursework or Certifications in Microsoft Business Central a plus
