DESCRIPTION

Would you like to be part of a team focused on driving innovation in the transportation industry? If you are a communication expert and have a passion for delivering the right message to the right audience at the right time, you may be just right for the Communication Coordinator to build new email marketing and lifecycle programs for a new team. The Carrier Services, Strategic Programs focuses on engaging carriers in our Relay Marketplace (relay.amazon.com). The team supports the Amazon Transportation Services org in coordinating communications that need to be sent out to our network of around 60k trucking companies!
As a key member of the communications team, you will partner with marketing on the execution of email and lifecycle marketing programs that engage carriers throughout their lifecycle. This person has a high bar for the customer experience, and executes highly polished campaigns. This role will support with program execution, and will partner closely with all stakeholders to optimize performance. You will have an opportunity to build new programs and tests aimed at improving conversion and engagement rates.
The ideal candidate has experience with CMS and/or email platforms (Marketo, Pardot, etc.) and looks for ways to automate and simplify processes. This person is passionate about testing and analyzing to improve the customer experience, email and landing page performance-level metrics, and ultimately the downstream business impact. They have a high bar for quality and challenge their peers to continually raise the bar for their campaigns. The ideal candidate will be customer obsessed and results-driven, with excellent writing and communication skills, analytical skills, and an aptitude to learn quickly. This is an ideal role for a digital marketer who seeks to leverage their expertise in a large-scale environment that provides ample room for experimentation, testing and innovation. The position is able to based out of one of the following corporate locations: Nashville, Phoenix, Seattle, and Atlanta
Key job responsibilities

  • Work with channel marketing and other marketing stakeholders to build email marketing campaigns.
  • Own the technical execution of email programs including building emails and assets in Marketo, testing, launch, reporting and maintenance
  • Create test plans and continuously optimize email programs (layout, format, frequency, and copy) to improve email performance
  • Deep dive into data, create dashboards that monitor and measure results, and deliver reports that drive decision making to optimize future campaigns
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and automation and work cross-functionally on implementation
  • Develop documentation for digital channel best practices, processes, and testing
  • Understand customer behaviors that trigger engagement and retention, and create marketing programs that drive desired behaviors
  • Work with cross-functional teams within the organization (e.g. marketers, international teams, product managers, and BI)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in email marketing, channel marketing, or digital marketing
  • 1 years of project management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to influence peers and leaders
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous entrepreneurial culture
  • Strong drive for results and ability to take calculate risks
  • Experience building campaigns and programs in Marketo or similar marketing automation tool
  • Experience in audience segmentation and targeting, A/B testing, and automated marketing communications
  • Basic understanding of HTML and ability to make edits to email and landing pages templates
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve goals
  • Experience using Excel Experience and other analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
