The Startups Internal Communications Associate will be a highly motivated self-starter with keen attention to detail, a concrete understanding of why the message matters and a passion for improving the employee experience. The ideal candidate has experience collaborating across multiple teams to gain input and buy in to communication improvement recommendations and communication partnering opportunities. The candidate demonstrate ability to interface with all levels of management and the ability to build relationship with peers and cross functional organizations.
Key job responsibilities
- Create, write, and manage the implementation of communications plans and tactics for the AWS Startups Segment including maintaining an editorial calendar
- Draft clear and concise communication materials such as newsletters, emails, talking points, and FAQs. This includes copy writing and editing, collating content and tracking readership metrics
- Help coordinate and organize quarterly All Team Meetings for a global audience of 1400
- Work with internal subject matter experts to gather information, synthesize business and technical concepts, and write/review/develop original content that tells the Startup team story via channels, including email, videos, Slack, intranet, etc.
- Create, manage, and track metrics strategy to understand readership, engagement, and impact associated with communications strategy initiatives and programs.
- Monitor employee feedback and suggest improvements to internal communications strategies and tactics
- Contribute to the measurement and analysis of the effectiveness of internal communication campaigns and channels.
- Stay abreast of best practices in internal communications and suggest innovative ways to engage employees

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $113,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
