Job Description

While many of us like to jump in and get going, do you ever stop and think why am I doing what I am doing, or can what I am doing be done better?

At Amazing Magnets, we believe one of the most underutilized talents by humans is thinking. So, lets practice doing this together for the next few minutes.

Start by asking yourself these three questions:
• What am I good at?
• Can I do it better than others?
• Can I get paid to do this?

Did you think of some good answers, did you like what you told yourself, are you finding ways to improve upon the answers you heard?

This is what Amazing team members focus on, and you should focus on this for yourself too.
You see, Amazing Magnets is a strength-based company, but we define strength a bit different from other companies.

A strength is something that gives you strength, it empowers you to get out of bed in the morning and want to do more. Sometimes this also translates into something you are good at, but it is also possible to be good at something that you do not like doing. This is defined as a weakness.
Why is this a weakness, because it weakens you doing this, it does not excite you, and you have to muster all of your energy just to complete the task (in short, a strength gives you energy and a weakness takes it from you).

Now reflect at what you have done for work in the past. When did you feel the most excitement, energy, passion, and when did you feel out of place, demotivated, and tired?

It is important for Amazing Magnets to match what you are passionate about with your skills, so we hire based on 3 principles.
• The skill for the job you are applying,
• The strength and passion for the job that you are applying,
• An Amazing cultural fit.

Amazing Magnets hiring process is an important part of our culture. Amazing people care deeply about their teams and the people who make them up. We are a culture of learners and doers. We love to move the needle a bit further and teach others while we are doing it. We push the boundaries of the next opportunity, and we do this by having team members that represent a more inclusive workplace that bring experience, knowledge and their perspective to life.

So if you think you are ready for the next step, continue to read, and we are excited to hear from you.
