Job Title
Summary of the role:
You will lead the project team through the definition and planning phases and then monitor and control the project to completion. The role embodies the continuous improvement mindset and strives to improve this all in a robust way, relentlessly.You will work in strong collaboration with Product Management, System Architecture, as well as stakeholders, Scrum Masters and Product Owners.
You will oversee project delivery across multiple teams and work with them to continuously improve to deliver the best value in the most sustainable time frame.
In this role you'll:
Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the projects and coordinate delivery across multiple teams
Ensure management of project controls (risks, issues and dependencies) and mitigation plans
Ensure that the projects are managed to budget, time and quality and deliver the benefits anticipated
Uses structured logic and methods to solve problems and proposes effective solutions based on own/team's ideas and feedback
Responsible for problem resolution and manages communication, as well as contributes to the project's success
Meeting management: Steering committee, Project Status meetings
Documentation: Project Management Plan including, schedule, cost, scope
Communication with stakeholders both internal and external
Project accounting: progress reports, budget management and reporting
Guide towards Project Best Practices making sure the program adheres to its values and artifacts.
Facilitate/support the program actors in role comprehension, backlog management, and conflict management.
Help program teams manage risks, dependencies and ensure impediments are reported to Program Leadership.
Consolidate Program & Feature Team capacity and supports resource capacity planning
Guarantee that the team data is properly maintained by all teams and all program members are dedicated according to the recommendation
Organize Knowledge sessions (defining relevant subjects for presentations)
Program Management Documentation: Plans including, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Project Health Reports, Risk / Issues/ Actions, Project Closure Report
Minimize risk exposure for program
Autonomously solve unique and complex problems that have broad impact in the business
May perform other duties as requested or assigned
About the ideal candidate:
Understands and can articulate how main business drivers may impact on own area
Can assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans, as well as communicate effectively complex information
Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions
Leads programs/multiple projects and contributes to broad cross-functional projects
Education: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Relevant Work Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in project and program management within software development organization
Business Understanding: Knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies, with security-minded approach
Skills:
Computing: SDLC software such as Rally, JIRA, MS Project, Azure DevOPs
Languages: Excellent command of English, oral and written
Specific Knowledge:
Clear written and verbal communication with ability to adapt communications to any level of business.
Keen ability to assess and manage project risks
Project Management certification which demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competency to successfully lead and direct projects leveraging project and process knowledge (PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2 practitioner or any equivalent) highly desirable
