Social Media ManagerSalary | Full-Time Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation is seeking a dedicated social media manager to join the marketing department. The person in this role will create content and oversee the strategy for the main Alvin Ailey Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok accounts, while also assisting with accounts for Ailey II, The Ailey School, and Ailey Extension. This person will report to the Editorial Content Manager. Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:Develop, implement, and manage Ailey’s organic and paid social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google, and YouTubeCreate various types of content that aligns with the Ailey brand for organic and paid social media posts such as photo galleries, photos with graphics, Reels, TikTok videos, YouTube ads, and more for the main Ailey account and others as needed Stay up to date on current social media trends and discern which ones align with and are relevant to the Ailey brandCollaborate with in-house copywriters and designers to produce informative, impactful content that successfully conveys institutional messagingWork with Marketing, PR, and Development teams to implement External Affairs messaging strategy as neededCoordinate social media content with presenters, such as creating tool kits or orchestrating takeoversStay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologiesEmploy social media marketing tools such as HootsuiteDefine KPIsMeasure campaigns successMonitor user engagement and suggest content optimizationDevelop a strong network of industry professionals and influencers to maximize content impact and reachSupervise one part-time social media coordinator and one dancer content creatorSkills/Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeMinimum five years of social media marketing experience managing multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube within a complex, fast-paced work environmentOne to two years of experience working with social media management and reporting tools such as Hootsuite, Social Studio, Sprout, or similarExperience developing and implementing multi-channel social media strategyAbility to guide creative teams in shaping content for optimal reach and engagementProficiency in video editing for social (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar)Excellent writing and communication skills; excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to occasionally work flexible hours to cover weeknight and weekend dutiesFluency with social analytics, social advertising (e.g., Facebook ads) and SEOInterest in design and light photo editingAbility to be self-motivated and to work independentlyCompensation:$75,000.
