Altorfer CAT is Hiring a Recruiting Coordinator Near Cedar Rapids, IA

Working Hours/Days

8am-5pm Monday -Friday

Overview

The Recruiting Coordinator will report to Director of HR. When looking at who we support and combining Altorfer Inc and Altorfer Industries, we have over 1,200 employees in 36 locations over 4 states.

Basic Duties

  • Will support three HR Generalist/Recruiters in their recruiting function by:
    • Reviewing new resumes and perform initial contact when appropriate.
    • Communicate with hiring manager.
    • Conducting phone screens.
    • Schedule interviews for hiring manager.
    • Handle the pre-hire applicant process such as background checks, drug screens and/or physicals.
    • Once offer is approved by recruiter, initiate the offer letter and follow it through approval process.
    • Initiate and track the new hire onboarding process via iCIMS.
    • Perform regular check-ins with new hires.
    • Learn iCIMS and work on building the pipeline of applicants.
    • Reach out to applicants with an incomplete status in iCIMS to ask for their help in completing it.
    • Follow-up with managers to ensure timely follow-up with candidates.
    • Actively recruit candidates
    • Post job openings with various organizations and job boards.
    • Assist with job fair scheduling and organization.
  • Will support the HR Generalist/Recruiters in their HR function by:
    • Compile reports in ADP and iCIMS as needed.
    • Be the point of contact for Tuition Reimbursement program administration and tracking
    • Help gather information for AAP or EEO-1 reporting if needed.
    • Assist with administering random drug screen notifications and tracking.
  • Will support the Director of HR by:
    • Coordinating all-company management training sessions.
    • Help coordinate meetings if needed.
    • Help with reporting to provide to CAT.
  • Other duties as assigned. This is a newly created position. May eventually do things such as all initial unemployment responses; I-9 Audit; HIPAA audit coordination and other functions as we learn your strengths.

Qualifications

  • Degree in HR or 1 - 5 years of experience as a Recruiting Coordinator is required.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience such as VLOOKUP is highly preferred.
  • Computer literate with various software packages such as MS Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Previous experience with an ATS is highly desired (we use iCIMS)
  • Advanced attention to detail along with being highly organized.
  • Ability to multi-task and absorb interruptions throughout the day.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with others.
  • Positive, friendly, can-do attitude.
  • HS graduate or equivalent required.

Full background check and drug screen performed on final candidate.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Working Conditions:

This position will primarily work in an office environment, there will be times when you are required to go out into the service and warehouse area and will be required to wear safety glasses in designated areas. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Must be able to walk, bend, lift up to 20 lbs. and wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields). The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
