Overview

Altorfer’s Accounting team is looking for a highly motivated Accounting Intern to assist with a variety of accounting duties. As an Accounting Intern, you will gain valuable real-world experience in the areas of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Tax, and more. This position has the potential for growth into a full-time role for the right candidate.

Basic Duties

• Posting payments to customer accounts using Billtrust Cash App
• Reconcile and follow up on customer accounts
• Journal entries
• Other duties, as assigned, in areas of Accounts Payable and Financial Analysis

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing an Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance or related.
• Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is highly preferred.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, or equivalent is essential.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Must be well organized, with the ability to multi-task.
• Creative team-player with initiative that responds well to challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in an office environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. There may be times when you may need to go out into the service shop or warehouse area and will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields).
