N12 is looking to develop the next generation of amazing producers in the newsroom. We are excited to be launching a new program focused on developing producers in house through a series of hands-on training that will prepare successful participants to land a full-time job with N12.
The program will be a nine-month assignment in which you will learn fundamental broadcast journalist processes, systems and more, all while contributing to our newsroom. You will work 40 hours a week during the program while rotating through day shifts and night shifts. Ideally, the Production Assistant Program will prepare you for a career with us.
In this program you will have an opportunity to assist in all aspects of news gathering, and production in our dynamic multi-platform operation. The Production Assistant will assist writers, producers, reporters, and managers with daily news operations. This may include, but not limited to, video production, digital production, research, and assignment desk duties. You will also have regular check ins and reviews with newsroom leaders as you learn and hone your skills to shoot, edit and write.
