A little bit about our team: ADA is WMG’s distribution arm for independent labels and DIY artists. The Product team is responsible for the technology that services our global community of independent artists & labels. We build tools that artists & labels use to run their careers and businesses. Our platform ensures that creative content is distributed out to the market accurately, on time, and set up to industry and artistic standards. We must constantly innovate to keep up with the music industry and provide opportunities, revenue, & promotion tools to the indie community. Your role: This role is a unique opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing independent music distributors as the Director of Product Marketing, reporting to the SVP of Product & Integration. You will represent the brand and voice of both ADA and Level, our DIY distribution platform. You will help build our product and innovation culture. You will work with the product team, tech team, label management team, WMG’s corporate comms team, and internal stakeholders to ensure that our customers (independent labels and DIY artists) are informed, educated, and excited about the products we are releasing to help them run their businesses and artistic careers. Here you’ll get to: You will help build the tech culture at ADA by keeping our internal and external community informed and excited about innovation at ADA & Level You will announce all new features being built by the tech team at ADA, and you are responsible for announcement strategy and channels You will help launch Level worldwide and build out a global community of independent artists who collaborate and support each others’ growth You will own ADA’s marketing tech stack, brand, and product voice (including email campaign & AB testing platforms, CRM strategy, ad campaigns) as it relates to user acquisition & retention You will partner with ADA’s designer, label managers, and marketing team to share artist stories and provide consistent, high-quality artist content for promotion on our social and editorial channels. You will manage content programs, such as artist educational content & events, which will fuel the growth of our artist community About you: College Degree preferred 6 years of experience managing marketing for tech or music brands You are passionate about listening to and supporting independent musicians You are a creator or have a deep connection to the creator community You know how to use social media to build relationships & community among artists You communicate effectively on heartfelt creative topics as well as technical topics, with outstanding grammar and punctuation You have experience overseeing projects involving influencer marketing, video content, blog posts, interviews, panels, and events You have experience running large-scale email and ad campaigns Strong working knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Slack, task management systems (Jira, Asana, Airtable, Trello, etc.) You are experienced with analytics-based marketing platforms including Google Analytics, Optimizely, Iterable, Salesforce, Amplitude, etc. You are comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment where team members wear many hats and constantly experiment with new campaigns and projects About us: ADA is WMG’s distribution arm for independent labels and DIY artists.
