Altech Services, Inc. is Hiring a Tire Technician Near Hampton Roads, VA
JOB SUMMARY
Direct-hire position for Tire Technicians to inspect, repair, and mount commercial tires on public transit buses in Gainsville, FL. Must have at least 1 year of tire repair experience.
SHIFT: 1st 4:00 am - 12:30 pm
PAY: $18-$24/hr (DOE)
DUTIES
- Place wheels on balancing machines, seal punctures and exert pressure to ensure good adhesion.
- Prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding, or sandblasting.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read and interpret documents: such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass the pre-screening process including drug tests, criminal, employer, and driving background checks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Wear safety gear and follow all safety guidelines
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally and able to push/pull
