Altamira is Hiring a Software Engineer Near TAMPA, FL
Job Description:
We have a new opportunity for a Software Engineer to join Altamira in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will join a multi-disciplined team working on customer-focused software development projects. The developer will identify important and interesting questions surrounding our customer’s challenges, then translate those questions into concrete development activities.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and integrate software applications
- Work with a software engineering team designing and deploying software
- Work with customer to understand and develop software and project requirements
Here's what you need:
- Experience working with an object-oriented programming language (Java, C , etc.)
- Experience working with modern backend web/service frameworks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Must be a US citizen and Eligible for a DoD clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret and SCI clearance
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience working with commercial or government cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
- Experience designing and deploying microservice based solutions
- Experience working with the SOF community
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
- Familiarity with modern software development practices and tolls (Jira, Git version control, CI/CD)
- Familiarity with modern Data Science concepts and techniques
Security Clearance:
- Must be a US citizen and Eligible for a DoD clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret and SCI clearance
