Job Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper

Location:  Sacramento

Classification: Full-time, M-F 7:30am-4:30pm

Reports to:  President

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 3 - 5 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience
• Sage 100 Experience, CONTRACTOR Preferred
• Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience)
• Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Construction accounting and labor compliance preferred
• Construction collection experience beneficial
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced work environment
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
• Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills

Job Summary:

The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring that accounting and financial records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner. This will include ensuring all financial transactions are correct, general entries are posted, and regular financial statements are produced for the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monthly Reconciliations: Bank, Credit Card, AP
• All aspects of payroll and payroll tax filings
• Certified payroll submission
• Audits: G/L, OCIP, Union, Workman’s Compensation, etc.
• Generate and prepare monthly fringe reports and union dues
• Sales and Use Tax returns
• General Ledger maintenance
• Monthly closeout procedure
• Perform Accounts Payable duties
• Generate financial reports
• Maintain accrual-based accounting
• Interface with CPA as needed
• Prepare annual 1099’s
• New vendor setup and maintenance
• Pre-Qualification submissions and updates
• Other duties as assigned
