Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Ecoverse has a position available as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk based out of our Avon, OH branch. This position will be required to verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.

Duties include but are not limited to: operating a tow motor, assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

• Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
• Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
• Put away received materials
• Assist in annual physical inventory and weekly cycle counts
• Move inventory using a tow motor

Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Shipping & Receiving Clerks: 1 year (Preferred)
• Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will sit; Frequently will stand, walk, climb or balance; Occasionally will use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, taste/smell.
• Vision: No special vision requirements.
• Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 25 pounds; Frequently will lift 25 to 50 pounds
• Work Environment: Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts; Frequently will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, wet or humid conditions (non-weather), work in high precarious places. Occasionally will work in outdoor weather conditions, around toxic or caustic chemicals
