ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSBILITIES

  • Conduction production testing on circuit board products or electronic assemblies
  • Use test equipment to determine pass/fail requirements
  • Use of environmental chambers to determine quality assurance
  • Ensure personal compliance to Quality Systems processes
  • Proactively participate in safety and lean programs
  • Set up test with minimal supervision
  • Perform sub assembly and final assembly process steps which include precision adjustment of various relay assemblies
  • Perform self-inspection and ensures relay assemblies meet engineering specification
  • Collect and enter data into automated system using a computer
  • Utilize hand tools and power drivers to assemble product. Use of calibrated gauges and sensitive measuring equipment during manufacturing process. Transports assemblies from one area of shop to another
  • Use drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation to ensure correct assembly of product
  • Crimp, cut, strip and solder as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics OR Associate’s degree in Electronics plus 2 years of related experience OR high school diploma/equivalent plus 4 years of related experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to use basic test equipment such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, frequency generators and counters
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as required
  • Ability to inspect work using LED backlighting, and magnifying instruments
  • Ability to sit for long periods while making sensitive relay contact adjustments
  • Excellent hand eye coordination and attention to fine details

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous soldering experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; legible handwriting
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Previous experience using basic test equipment
  • Ability to use advanced test equipment such as Network & Spectrum analysizers, Radio Test Sets, etc.
  • Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing
  • Demonstrated moderate problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong precision and attention to detail
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
