General Purpose
Attend to patients on the phone and in person. Co-ordinate and organize
appointments and administration to facilitate the efficient running of the dental
office. Maintain highest level of customer service, quality of care, on-time
treatment, office safety and accurate recordkeeping.

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
 Check patients in/out
 Answer and manage incoming calls
 Schedule patient appointments
 Manage new patient registration and update existing patient records
 Assist patients with completing all necessary forms and documentation
 Inform patients of dental office procedures and policy
 Respond and comply to requests for information via phone, text,
email and in-person
 Confirm upcoming appointments and resolve cancellations/no-shows
 Manage daily appointment schedule to keep schedule full and
productive
 Verify insurance coverage for new and existing patients
 Prepare patient routing slips for next day appointments
 Organize referrals to other medical specialists
 Dispatch/log received lab cases
 Prepare and mail patient written communication
 Track patient and professional referrals
 Collect payments from patients at time of treatment
 Educate patients about financial treatment plan options
 Arrange payment schedules with patients
 Process incoming and outgoing mail
 Monitor and maintain inventory of office supplies
 Update patient education materials
 Maintain a professional reception area including routine
maintenance of office equipment
 Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33 – 40 per week
