About the Role: 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Benefits & Wellness, the Senior Benefits Administrator will drive success by bringing your benefits expertise to our People Operations team. In this position, you will partner with Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, People Ops and Senior Leadership to understand our employees and AlphaSense’s global benefits needs. You will manage and develop best-in-class benefit and retirement programs that help attract and retain the best talent globally. You will adapt quickly to navigate social and economic changes and ensure compliance at a time of rapid growth. As we continue to scale, you will leverage your experience to educate our People Partners, Leaders and Managers on policy, and leave administration. You will stay informed about emerging market trends and use data-driven insights to incorporate those into global programs fit for a scaling organization.

Who You Are

  • You are a benefits and retirement professional with 3-5 years of experience in global benefits; experience working for pre-IPO and/or publicly traded companies preferred. 
  • You have experience working in a global hyper-growth environment, preferably with experience scaling benefits and retirement (Pension/401k) in a rapidly changing environment. 
  • You have expertise in project management, including development and implementation of new programs and resources.
  • You are a strong communicator, with public speaking experience and the ability to adjust messaging based on audience and employee needs. 
  • You are an expert in using employee feedback to guide benefits communication and recommend program improvements.
  • You are obsessed with data and applying insights to create sustainable, scalable policies that drive retention and engagement.
  • You are passionate about customer service and creating a world-class employee experience.
  • You are a DEI champion, eager to drive positive change and an inclusive benefits experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct annual Open Enrollment, including but not limited to system updates, preparation and presentation of materials, as well as review and approval of enrollments, as necessary.
  • Oversee the coordination and distribution of employee communication and educational materials across our global teams in the United States, United Kingdom, Finland, and India. 
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure equitable and competitive employee benefit offerings.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and regional legislation changes.
  • Continuously drive the optimization of the employee experience through our benefits programs including, but not limited to, medical/dental/vision plans, ancillary insurance offerings, memberships and discounts, retirement (pension and 401k), and leaves administration.
  • Coordinate vendor management, wellness and health education initiatives. 
  • Manage the company’s standard benefits, including but not limited to benefits processing, leaves of absence, wellness programs, etc.
  • Negotiate coverage services and costs with carriers. 
  • Oversee the selection, administration and maintenance of benefit brokers, carrier and insurance relationships, including contract review and negotiation.
  • Manage the company’s pension and retirement plans (401k), including related data management, processes, and compliance routines.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA, SOC2, non-discrimination testing, worker’s compensation, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
