Job Title: Process Inspector
Reports To: Quality Manager
Department: Quality
Position Summary
Process Inspector who can ensure that all products meet the quality standards and uphold the safety policies our company has created and developed. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing physical and electronic testing on finished product and perform in process inspection, to ensure that customer specifications are being met and company quality standards are followed. Previous experience with inspection in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
1st Shift - 5am-1:30pm
pay rate: $18 (pay is flexible depending on candidate experience)
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that the product produced meets the customer's required specifications and established company standards.
- Responds to priorities and daily requirements within the department.
- Conducts a variety of inspection and tests on finished products and within work in process or incoming inspection.
- Ensures that all quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed.
- Completes documentation thoroughly and efficiently.
- Lift between 30-50 lbs. throughout the day.
- Use a respool machine to respool the finished product.
- Can work in a manufacturing environment.
- Coordinates with operations for work in process testing results, provides feedback for process improvements.
- Generates Non-Conformance report and keeps process records for process improvements.
Position Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Experience in a low volume-high mix manufacturing environment. Experience in, cable and wire industry, manufacturing, and other low volume-high mix environments is a plus.
Knowledge: Knowledge of 5S, measurement and test equipment such as caliper, micrometers, and multi-meter, a plus.
Skills: Verbal, written and listening communication skills. Problem solving, and Organization
