JOB SUMMARY

AlpHa Measurement Solutions is experiencing aggressive growth through a global platform consolidation and recognizes a need to strengthen operational manufacturing capabilities to meet increased demand and support continued growth. We have an immediate need for a Materials Coordinator to join our Houston-based team.

Position Summary

This position provides material delivery, preparation, and replenishment support to the production floor. This position’s primary focus is to support direct production activities allowing production personnel to focus exclusively on value-added work. A Water Spider ensures that all production lines have the necessary material to successfully run production during the designated shift.

The Materials Coordinator reports directly to the Production Planner

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Computer skills including Microsoft basics (Outlook, Word, Excel), and ERP user-level experience
• Ensure a timely restock of necessary components to the assigned work area at the point of use
• Manage inventory levels and communicates potential shortage to manufacturing and/or purchasing to minimize stock outages
• Responsible for maintaining accuracy of inventory, which includes monitoring all inventory transactions within the designated value stream
• Parts Consolidation – Assisting with recommendations for duplicate items across multiple brands
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Perform other duties as required and assigned; duties and activities may change over time

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• 1-3 years of industry and/or manufacturing and warehouse experience is preferred
• Computer skills including Microsoft basics (Outlook, Word, Excel), and ERP user-level experience

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be able to routinely lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to work in fast-paced environments
• Occasional overtime to meet business needs
• Must be conversant in English for safe and effective performance of the job
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
