Organizational Commitment: Provides substance abuse education and counseling services, both individual and group counseling and case management for clients in an integrated service delivery model. Supports and maintains Alpha Home’s policies, procedures, code of ethics, mission, vision and core values of Spirituality, Compassion, Integrity, Respect and Inclusivity.

FUNCTIONS/BEHAVIORS:

• Provide individual and group counseling, educational groups, as assigned to ensure client experience is optimal
• Provide case management based on client needs and coordinate with other agencies/individuals involved inclient treatment; ensure treatment planning, discharge planning, referrals are done in required timerequirements
• Maintain chart management and all clinical record keeping in a timely basis
• Conduct urinalysis drug screenings as needed
• Complete respective reports, which may include but not limited to federal probation, federal pretrial, drug courts, county probation and/or parole departments, HHSC, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), and obtain additional consents in writing, as needed.
• Work with the mindset of continual improvement for effectiveness and consistency for the team
• Attend staffing and team building meetings as required
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with other team members and departments as necessary for thebenefit and well being of the clients
• Demonstrate established customer service standards aligned with Alpha Home’s values
• Address concerns as immediate as possible and report to director or supervisor

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• LPC or LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor) in good standing with Texas licensing board. Other professional licensure acceptable, to qualify as a QCC, with experience in addictions field; acquisition of LCDC licensure required within one (1) year of employment
• Associate’s degree or higher based with respect to licensure status
• Must be motivated to work with multi-cultural, dual diagnosis, and criminal justice clients
• Possess appropriate level of maturity, enabling one to make fair and constant decisions regarding clients.
• Acquire working knowledge about trauma and its effects on clients and is willing to participate in training (such as Seeking Safety) to become self-aware and aware of offering trauma-informed services
• Have working knowledge of 12-step recovery program
• Possess or be willing to acquire CPR and First Aid Certification within first 60 days of hire
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Former clients of Alpha Home are not eligible for employment for a minimum of 2 years following discharge
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check, employment background check, driver license clearance (if applicable to position) and urinalysis drug screen•
• Perform other duties, as assigned, by Clinical Director
