Alma Domestic Violence Foundation (www.almadvf.org) is a nationally recognized, human services organization committed to “Educate Empower and Celebrate survivors of domestic violence and help them achieve economic and self-sufficiency”. Our vision is to aid in the eradication of domestic violence globally and enlighten the public about its effects. Alma Domestic Violence Foundation has served over 3500 survivors of domestic violence and 45,000 youth worldwide and provide support to over 35 shelters across the United States.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROGRAM MANAGER
Our Program Managers plan programs from start to finish, including procedures, milestones and deadlines that will add the highest possible value to the foundation and program participants. You work with the Development Manager in generating and submitting required reporting for applicable program grants. Program Managers collaborate with the CEO, Board of Director’s Program Committee and/or foundation’s delegates in the development and execution of the foundation’s growth strategy and help identify potential program funding sources. You are responsible for establishing budgeting with the CEO and Development Manager for program operations and monitor each program to make sure it stays within budget. Program Managers also cultivate relationships with both federal and local government bureaus and other relevant program referral sources. You develop strong partnerships with national civil and community organizations that offer support to the foundation and its program participants. Your work is essential to ensuring program operations and activities adhere to the legal guidelines and internal policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Human Resources or appropriate studies
· Activity Director Certification (ADC) or Certified Project Director (CDP) is a plus.
· Minimum of 3 years of program management experience in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
· Results-driven, decision making, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
· Solid understanding of performance -based goals and the ability to meet them.
· Proficient in MS office Suite and program management software.
WORK SCHEDULE FOR A PROGRAM MANAGER
This full-time case management position works a typical schedule of 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
In this critical role, a Program Manager must be able to pay attention to detail and high level of efficiency. You must be passionate, enthusiastic, and supportive for the foundation’s mission and values. It is important to maintain confidentiality. Working effectively with a wide variety of individuals and maintaining a high degree of organizational and planning skills is necessary as to be successful as a Program Manager with Alma Domestic Violence Foundation.
