Summary

The Real Estate Manager role is primarily responsible for overseeing all the company’s office locations and ensuring each office meets employee and client needs. The position’s responsibilities will include space planning, coordinating office installations and remodels, and managing real estate broker relationships.

Responsibilities

Real Estate Strategy and Planning

• Ensure that real estate planning fully aligns with the overarching vision, strategy, and culture of the firm
• Develop innovative work environments that encourage collaboration and teamwork
• Work with marketing and financial services functions to ensure we are optimizing our use of real estate for clients and associate interactions
• Ensure the firm maximizes the value derived from real estate through innovative space planning and investment
• Establish real estate steering committee to help cascade decisions and facilities issue resolution

Real Estate Financial Management

• Monitor and forecast real estate lease operating expenses, non-operating expenses, and capital expenditure monthly
• Prepare budgets and forecasts for spend

Real Estate Procurement

• Pro-actively manage the firm’s real estate and meet the needs of the firm as it expands
• Work with real estate brokers, architects and builders to source, design and build high quality real estate
• Visit and make recommendations on how to optimize real estate used by new partner firms

• Identify risks and opportunities associated with existing and new real estate projects

Office Administration & Support

• Support associates and HR in managing day to day facilities related matters
• Resolve issues and implement change as necessary

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing real estate and/or leases
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent organizational, leadership skills and collaboration skills, working with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrate critical reasoning and decision making to analyze situations, determine risks, find solutions to prevent future issues, and resolve recurring deficiencies.
• Ability to work independently, without constant direct supervision
• Business travel flexibility for visiting the firm’s nationwide office locations
