AllPro Government is currently hiring in the Tucson area for an experienced RNs with at least 2 years work experience.

This assignment is a Government Contract and will need to pass and observe Federal regulations and policies (i.e. – background and drug-screening).

LOCATION: Tucson

FACILITIY: Federal Health Care Clinic Penitentiary

SHIFT HOURS: Mon thru Fri 7:30a - 4p (NO WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS)

Pay Range: $15 - $17 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

$37- 41 p/hr (depending on certifications and years of experience)

Job Description:

• Provide direct patient care services in accordance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards through the evaluation of patients and therapeutic treatment as ordered by Health Services Clinical staff.
• Perform nursing duties within the scope of the current licensure.
• Administer medications as prescribed (i.e. – by mouth, intradermally, subcutaneously, or intramuscularly.
• Assist with distribution of medication at pill line.
• Monitor and evaluate the response to therapy.
• Perform skin testing.
• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services for the inmate.
• Take medical histories, examine patients, and order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays.
• Perform venipuncture for the purpose of obtaining laboratory specimens.
• Maintain accurate logs of all reports in accordance with Bureau of Prisons and JACHO policy Screen laboratory test/results for normal/abnormal lab values and notify the physician or physicians.
• Ensure all sharps are secured, accounted for, stored, and disposed of according to institutional and national policy.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Ability and skill to operate EKG.
• Clinically manage injuries by splinting and immobilizing.
• Attend to medical emergencies.
• Work collaboratively with the staff physician(s) and consulting physician(s) in planning, institution, evaluating, and revising program plans.
• Assists in determining conditions, resources, and policies essential to delivery of the health care services.
• Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems.
• Manages the daily operation of the clinic and conducts daily sick call; which may include securing health histories from the patient, recording findings, and providing clinical evaluations.
• Provide a wide range of emergency services in the absence of the physician.
• Perform duties as required, but accept only those nursing assignments that re commensurate with his/her educational preparations, training experience, and licensure laws.
• Additional Nursing duties required by the COR.

Requirements:

• 1 yr RN experience
• 1 year ER RN experience preferred
• 1 year Correctional Facility RN experience preferred
• AZ RN or Compact RN License
• American Heart Association BLS and CPR
