Hourly Wage Estimate: $60.00 - $65.44 / hour

Job Summary and Qualifications:

As an X-Ray Technician you will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department. You will also demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age specific needs, and provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures.

  • You will provide health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
  • You will perform radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
  • You will exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. You may assist the licensed practitioner with the management of non-narcotic medications.
  • You will provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential to successful completion of the procedure. Provides services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Requirements:

  • 0-6 months experience in a Radiology Department
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.), and current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS). Required to maintain registry and not let it expire.
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current California Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy License or required within 6 months of hire
  • Knowledge of diagnostic principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment as acquired through satisfactory completion of an accredited radiologic technology training program.
  • Ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management system.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must effectively read, write and verbally communicate in the English language.
