Job Description

AMAG, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Part Time Warehouse Clerk. This incumbent functions to processing inbound material and logging transactions in the Great Plains database. This role will also work closely with warehouse shipping and receiving as well as with other various internal and external departments to ensure data integrity. Attention to detail is a primary responsibility as are good written and verbal communication skills. Must have some knowledge of ERP systems .The ability to navigate common business software is essential and required on a daily basis. The position also requires a good deal of physical lifting. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Pick and pack orders to ship, receiving, stocking, inventory control, and cycle counting.
• Notify order department managers of any unidentifiable incoming shipments.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined location one product received.
• All Paperwork filled and put away.
• Must be familiar with computers, internet, UPS and FedEx shipping software
• Must be able to multitask quickly, without missing steps or dropping tasks, while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Be able to accurately and consistently follow detailed procedures.
• Be able to maintain organized, current paper files so that others can locate paperwork quickly.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds will be required on a daily basis.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space. Sweep on daily basis or as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED with 2 to 3 year of experience working in a warehouse or production environment and some RMA experience preferred. Must have some knowledge of ERP systems. Must have experience with the online systems of FedEx, UPS and other carriers required. An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Must have a CDL to drive a forklift. If required by job responsibilities, the incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Communicates effectively in both oral and written English technical language, both in interpreting requirements and providing reports. Should possess good customer service abilities along with refined grammar skills. The position may require interaction with other departments and technical employees and must be handled in a professional manner.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; stand, bend, lift or climb. The incumbent is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs operate pallet jack and forklift if and when needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment. There is low to moderate noise in this work environment.
