Overview

The Finance Business Partner reports directly to the Director of Finance – North America and acts as a finance business partner to the General Managers for our commercial and consumer business segments. As an integral member of the team, this role will be responsible for influencing business decisions; including business planning, financial forecasting, proactive analysis, partnering with the data and reporting analyst to improve reporting/dashboarding and value creation to deliver on organizational growth objectives. The ideal candidate would be based out of Texas, Florida or the upper Mid-West. This position will be remote, with some travel for meetings. 

Responsibilities

• Act as a partner to sales leaders by providing key performance metric reporting and delivering insights into sales trends and activity.
• Support the sales team in delivering projected sales growth and profitability targets.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis comparing actuals to prior year, budget and forecast, identifying business drivers and a breakdown into price, exchange rate, volume and mix impact.
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to the General Managers for decision making purposes. 
• Be a key member of the yearly sales budgeting process for the North American Sales organization.
• Actively participate in the Sales & Operational Planning process for North America.
• Prepare and monitor business cases for new sales initiatives.
• Track sales allowances (e.g., sales commissions, postponed rebates, promotional actions, etc).
• Develop and monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances. 
• Ensure application of efficient and effective financial and operating controls within the Company.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses that drives the performance of the business. 

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience/Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field required
• 5 years of experience with relevant financial management experience working with Commercial team(s).
• Solid working knowledge of ERP systems. Cognos Tm1 knowledge is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong analytical skills; capable of interpreting financial implications of strategic decisions.
• Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to prepare and present ad hoc presentations and analyses to senior management.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross functional business partners
• Passion to be an integral partner to the business.
• Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete and timely fashion.
• Strong Excel skills in building working models and business management tools.
• Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, global environment.
